About VA-Tuition

I offer tuition in English and Maths from KS1 through to KS4 (GCSE) but am open to discuss any other areas of learning you may wish to support. All lessons will be tailored to the needs of your child.  I have first-hand experience of the current curriculum and can work with your child to introduce new concepts, fill knowledge gaps, and consolidate existing learning. I have experience of working with children with a variety of needs and abilities and passionately believe that one size does not fit all. 1 to 1 tuition offers the perfect environment to help pupils gain confidence.  Every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential which is why I provide bespoke lessons based on the needs of the child.  Lesson content will be varied to ensure your child is engaged and has fun, with a creative and active approach to compliment more conventional methods.

As part of VA-Tuition, I offer beginner piano lessons for those who wish to develop a passion for music.  Music is proven to help brain development and has strong links with maths, co-ordination, and creativity.  I have always enjoyed music (I played both piano and violin through school and took music at ‘A level’) and it has continued to play an important part in my role as a class teacher. I thrive on seeing the enjoyment and confidence children gain when participating in musical activities
